National Safety Week 2024 in India is From 04th March 2024 to 11th March 2024

As you are aware, the National Safety Day (NSD) Campaign spearheaded by the National Safety Council https://nsc.org.in/ for commemorating its foundation day 4th March, in 2024 is entering into 53 year. This weeklong Campaign on Occupational, is widely celebrated by Industries, Unions, Government Departments, Institutions, Non Government Organisations and getting active support from Central & State Govt. Safety Week 2024 United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has adopted Seventeen Sustainable Develop. Goals
which is Called (SDG). To keep the workforce safe and protected. In thi list environment is reflected in
Goal No. 9 of SDG which mainly focuses on “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”. NSC aligns its
activities towards SDG, through its several initiatives and programs.

The objective of the NSD Campaign is to help industries and other organisations to promote Safety,
Health and Environment. Safety Leadership plays a significant role in the ESG excellence. To focus on
Safety Leadership, this year we have derived the theme for NSD 2024 as “Focus on Safety Leadership
for ESG Excellence”.
